we've been great friends since our college days at the university of iowa (go hawkeyes!)

& over the years we've come to find that we genuinely enjoy each other's company-- so it

seemed logical to create a company with one another that we genuinely enjoy. when we both

got engaged last year, we both (not so ironically) fell in love with an antique furniture &

salvage warehouse that hosts private events. so, not only are we standing up in each others' weddings, but we're getting married at the same wedding venue... just over a month apart.

inspired by our venue's unique, eclectic decor, we came up with the idea of using mismatched

china for our receptions, & began collecting the pieces together last summer. plate was born

when we realized how beautiful the mismatched china settings look, and how much we enjoy

rummaging through estate sales and antique shops for gorgeous one-off pieces. we got such a

great response on the idea from family & friends, & we decided to offer rentals so other brides & grooms could incorporate the china into their special days as well.
